Dr. Ariana Mangual Figueroa will be with us on Tuesday, February 12, leading a workshop on ethics in fieldwork. We will reflect on questions related to entering and exiting the field, articulating the scope and significance of a project to participants, how participant’s goals and expectations translate in the researcher-participant relationship and how to adapt our thinking about ethics in the context of globalization.
Please join us for this talk by Professor Jacqueline Urla of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
Thursday, November 29 – 3 to 5 PM at 438 HM
Thanks everyone who joined Ofelia García’s talk on translanguaging! It was a privilege and a pleasure to have her back at TC and as a speaker for the CMLL which she co-founded with JoAnne Kleifgen. Her presentation and engagement with the audience reminded us of how much her research contributes to many avenues of future research and practice.
We were also excited to have in the audience Alastair Pennycook, another world-renowned scholar of multilingualism.
We are excited to welcome back CMLL’s co-founder Ofelia García for a talk on translanguaging, multilingualism and education. Please join us on Monday, November 5th from 5 to 7 pm at 408 Zankel Building.
